Facebook was once a sensation and still could be the all-time favorite for some of us. Facebook has done a lot and evolved a lot since Mark struck its mark 😜 in 2004. Beyond networking, they revolutionized the way advertising worked earlier. However, our focus gradually shifted towards WhatsApp and Instagram. I hope many of you would have a question that what do these tech giants experiment all day? Why would they hire such huge manpower with attractive packages? Does the company working on something new after Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram? If so, how could another social media survive and fit the competitive space out there?

Facebook social media app is not the only product from Facebook and I bet it’s not going to be anymore. Yes, let me share interesting strategy facebook is following to experiment with new products and get to know how one among this could be the next revolution from Facebook 🔥

There is a team called the NPE team on Facebook?NPE, yes! And this is how Facebook pin them,

Many of the products we create will start small and may not resonate with everyone. And we expect many will be shutdown as a result. That’s okay. Because we believe building without fear of failure is the only way to achieve success.

Note: One thing I wish to highlight here is “These products from the NPE team are highly experimental, they can be dropped as such if found unhappy. They are not facebook’s products. ie.We can’t expect the same consistency and usability like other products from them.

I just felt stunned with this description from Facebook on this app😉,

A private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves.

How creative and suffice! So tuned is going to be an app for couples. Certain things which you could do with tuned exclusively are,

• With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person, even when you’re apart.
• Creatively express your love, share your mood, exchange music, and build a digital scrapbook of your special moments.

Awesome right?

Some cool features of tuned (as of this writing) include,

• A Private, scrapbook-style feed between just the two of you
• You can connect your Spotify account to share songs and playlists
• You can set your mood and see how your partner is feeling
• You can send photo snapshots, notes, cards, voice memos and more to show you care
• You can be expressive with custom stickers and reactions

The issue is Facebook doesn’t have a default experimentation app anymore, and so these NPE team releases kind of force Facebook to get by with fewer user data and make judgment calls on how fast functionality can develop when starting from a standstill.
